yes I agree, in some way, when we talk about building we have to realise that all systems, from a single cell to a house has a structure, whether it is made up of points and lines forming poles ie. geometric or it is organic, free flowing ‘romantic’…there is always an organisation of form which has much to do with the function.We all know this, but what we may not see is that the design which we have to conform to now is like a pot.Its function is to withold the complexity in a very simple way, to create something good.

THE PROBLEM WITH OFFERING THE WORLD A POT AS A MODEL IN WHICH TO WORK > IS THAT so far it has not produced anything where any one group or where the ego can flourish, think about it, who can take credit for anything where there is a melting of ideas? it goes back to how man values himself,individually…if he can get over the polarity within himself, then he can accept a world in which all good belongs to everyone and no one and he/she will be okay deep down.Think of the most humble society and you may see an inverse relationship wrt they have contributed to the world, of course its huge generalisation but…anyone heard of the waterproof teabag and other Irish inventions ?

This is some seriously righteous blogging, in the good way I mean. So right, so true, people need to be reminded that the dichotomies and extremes are not the only option. Spirit has a way of bringing things into their proper balance, which is why a revolution of spirit is so necessary today.

yeh I should have stopped after the first paragraph, what I meant by the example of the Irish at the end,is that they have invented, according to an unofficial list:

1.The submarine
2.Harpoon gun
3.Atom bomb
4.hypodermic syringe
5.shorthand writing
6.the aircraft ejector seat
7.armoured tanks
8.soda water
9.the monorail
10. colour photography

YET, pop culture jokes about them being responsible for:

1. The water-proof towel
2. Solar powered flashlight
3. Submarine screen door
4. A book on how to read
5. Inflatable dart board
6. A dictionary index
7. Ejector seat in a helicopter
8. Powdered water
9. Pedal-powered wheel chair
10. Waterproof tea bag

nobody really wants to lose his identity and melt together with the entire human race in a pot.. what has to be melted together is the force that drives us to this oneness, we have to have one common goal. individuals will always be individuals, and it’s dangerous (& boring) to want it otherwise.

people are so bent on defining the “individuality” by belonging to a sharply defined group, and forget that the world and it’s truths aren’t black & white… that science can’t live without religion (and importantly vice versa), that empowerment and the free market can only benefit mankind if it’s got moderation, and and and…
there is so much to say, and to a large group of people, these concepts are so obvious, but then, we’re just wishy-washy…

Yes nemoD, I was just reading how scientists have discovered that the electrical wiring of our brains, in terms of our cultural perceptions and definitions of morals and ethics, are to a large extent formed by those around us. So we will relate to one school of thought, or one cultural interpretation of an issue. This interpretation then seems so ‘obvious’ to us and we wonder why others don’t just get it, or how they could possibly disagree.

The trick remains, then, to make a ‘world embracing vision’ and seeing outside the box the focus of our ethos.

Nemodreamer, I agree with you 100%, no one wants to be melted in a pot, no one is saying we need to have one (boring) identity…to use the Irish again…as an anology…we are the leprechauns,
