  1. Original Sin says:

Just as you thought that this site was pretty cool, some dweeb uses it as a platform to publicly reaffirms his (and it’s always a ‘he’) love affair with this post-trekkie soap.

  2. Mogogo says:

Hear hear! As a reformed trekkie, i applaud OS. What is it with boys, computers and spaceships?

And Sal, before you retort with predictable “pot-calling-kettle-black” rant or your equally predictable “its not about space, its about love, life and liberty” nonsense: save it.

  3. Saleem says:

Mogogo, I have documentary proof that you asked me for copies of Battlestar Galactica a few days ago. Shall I post it or will you offer a full retraction and apology?

  4. Original Sin says:

I am sure it was purely for research purposes and hold nothing against Mog’s request.

In other news, Studio 60 is picking up the pace and worth a download or two.

  5. Saleem says:

Studio 60 is good but it is not big. BSG is big. OS, your blind lust for Mogogo is plain for all to see, a bit disturbing, perhaps you should have that looked at.

  6. Mogogo says:

I was merely giving Sal a chance, as he had proven to be correct about West Wing and Studio 60. I have enough self awareness and shame not to announce any geeky tendencies for all the world to see.

  7. Human Owl says:

Dweebism needs to be stamped out.

  8. Saleem says:

None of you flat-heads would know good drama if it hit you in the face with a massive denouement!

  9. Misagh says:

You can’t blame a guy for loving West Wing. I watched the whole thing over a 2 week period on an IV drip, occasionally leaving the sofa for the bathroom (it wasn’t quite worth a bladder catheter)… Battlestar Galactica I can’t comment on, perhaps I am not enough of a dweeb.

  10. Saleem says:

But this is the point, you don’t need to be a dweeb to like Battlestar Galactica. It’s just an aircraft carrier with added space flight.

  11. Sanisha says:

yeah Saleem, i think you may have lost the battle against dweebism a while ago when you adverstised a new series of Robin Hood!no one intervened & sorry to be the one to say it -but i think you sunk the eight-ball way back then…maybe it was by accident, or maybe you were joking… i have not watched it so maybe it’s even pretty good.Who knows, is it?

All this hype makes me want to see Battlestar Galactica tho’.

  12. Saleem says:

Apparently the new Robin Hood is not very good.

  13. electra says:

don’t pretend you haven’t seen it

  14. Original Sin says:

I saw the first 10 minutes of it, seems alrightish. Will watch the three episodes I downloaded before I pass judgment. The same will not apply to Battlestar, although I did download a few *seasons* of the latter show in a moment of weakness. And I’m sure Sal was over. And it was late. And it was dark. And I was kinda lonely. And we were drunk. Dear God, what have we done!

  15. Saleem says:

Electra, I really haven’t, hand on heart etc. Why would I lie? I’m already out here pushing BSG, it’s not like I care what y’all think.

OS, don’t try and implicate me in whatever latest compromising situation you’ve gotten yourself into. But they’re getting progressively worse, aren’t they?

  16. Original Sin says:

Love me and leave me, why don’t you!

  17. Sanisha says:

ok, lets get something straight…there is nothing wrong with Robin Hood, the man, taking from the rich and giving to the poor is very noble indeed, right?

I am home sick with flu, some of you may noticed that from the nasal in my voice, some of you may even care, ok …back to the point > how about a Neocrats reality tv show, live via webcam, in the penultimate episode, OSin and Saleem will get together and make smoothies before going out into the London lights (final episode)?!?

but the twist in the plot…is that… it is an entirey silent show, because, get this, even though there is alot of noise and talking going on here, in reality, the characters are actually having a conversation with a screen! if someone had to look at me, now, they would see a quiet girl, who likes to read, which in reality, truly, is what I am! life never ceases to amaze me…am i alone in this feeling ?

anyway, the dweebs may like the show but does anyone think it will crossover and be a hit with the cool kids?

  18. Sanisha says:

oops sorry, did i say smoothies?… I meant cocktails

  19. Marshn says:

I care Sanisha and I sympathise. I have a cold, not as bad as a flue but I’m not allowed to get a flue, I’m goin to Haifa on sunday!!! :):):):)

  20. Sanisha says:

thanks Marshn! and oh my goodness…Haifa!
awesome…! enjoy! come back with stories please.

  21. Marshn says:

I will! Prayers heading your way!

  22. Sanisha says:

    Hvala vam!

  23. Marshn says:

Cute! Where did you find that?

  24. Sanisha says:

hee hee, i used the tool whose name we do not mention :)
i was hoping you could tell me the reply in Slovenian?

  25. Marshn says:

    Ni za kaj

  26. Kavitha says:

I absolutely LOVE Basttlestar Galactica. It’s definitely the best show on television these days, and it may even be one of the best shows I’ve seen, period. As one of the actors in it said in an interview, good sci-fi is about holding a mirror to our own society, and that’s what BSG does. Not to mention, it’s full of first-class acting, and post Miami-Vice Edward James Olmos… what’s not to love ; )

  27. Pssst says:

you may be able to use this in your next quest to convert the nation into BSG fans, but don’t tell anyone i gave it to you…especially seeing as the artcle is entitled ‘Space Balls’.
