How about maybe some slot with current events
eg > what does London Fashion week look like ?
maybe some of you stumbled upon it while at the venue > The Natural History Museum, what's on the catwalk guys ?
Does design reflect the global zeitgeist?

Also, i like how this post started with 'Oh Friends! '...
I think more extra's should start like that.

I don't think London Fashion Week is quite within our powers. Equally, covering current events requires the kind of regular effort that is antithetical to the Neocrats; it's a collective of people who cycle in and out. There's the BBC news website for current events, we obviously couldn't be a patch on a patch on a patch on them, so we should leave them to it.

Sanisha, what about the original question? Should Links stay or go?

There should be a link saying 'links' . For people who want the links they can be directed to another page. I never read them, or direct myself to any of them.

I do want to be able to create multimedia posts if necessary

true ...i don't think we readers come here for data or information but > knowledge, written in a fresh way.

...so with regard to the Links , I think they should stay because it gives newcomers an idea about who Neocrats are and what they read, perhaps add some more to the list.

The hard and fast rule of links is the more of them you have, the less people will click on them. If I were you, I would have one for each neocrat, and then change them more often. That way even the links become an active part of the site, as opposed to the dead weight they currently are.

There it is. I think that's a good idea, but maybe to give a bit more breathing room, have two links per neocrat at any one time. This can be tied into the overall new feature of neocrat-specific features.

Ok, one link per 'crat at a time, fine. Regarding my 'flatulence', yes you're right, but you can't have it both ways; in other words, you can't commend me for keeping quiet in one breath, and demand that I break my posting silence in another. For the record, I haven't written in the main column since August 19th and I don't anticipate doing so in the immediate term, either.

As to site design, a friend of mine who uses Firefox said he couldn't read the page. Something about the lack of contrast between the orange and the black. I couldn't tell what he meant, but apparently it's an issue for Firefox users, which isn't good.

I humbly offer up a solution for the FF's: IE. Embrace it. Love it. I know you want to. I know you've realised that there are as many issues with FF as there are with IE. I know you're tired of sites being optimised for the most popular browser, and most of all, I know you want to join the Wintel family of love. Sing Halleluja!

I'm all for links, they are the strands of our internet community web, esp for the meek. After all, shall not the meek inherit the earth?

Admittedly I am biased because my page is currently linked on your site :-) I am also somewhat meek, though that is arguable.
